Mercy Corps is a non-governmental and non-profitable organization that
exists to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build
secure, productive and just communities. Mercy Corps is seeking applications
from potential candidates for the following positions:
District Field Supervisor
Total five job positions are available in one each for Narowal, Kasur,
Hafizabad and two for Sialkot.
Qualifications & Experience:
BA preferably in social sciences or relevant discipline, with at least 03
years’ of working experience preferably with TB DOTS awareness and
community-based health programs. Experience working at the district and
community level and experience organizing community level activities Ability to
coordinate with public and private sector stakeholders. Excellent communication
skills required. Fluency in written and spoken English, Urdu & local
languages. Excellent computer skills particularly in MS Office.
Responsibilities / Duties
The incumbent will be responsible for implementation of project activities
in the assigned district in accordance with the New Funding Model (NFM) Operational
Guidelines. S/he will maintain close liaison with the participating general
practitioners (GPs) and private laboratories and will ensure proper record keeping
on TB R&R forms and Lab EOA reports. S/he will also organize community
meetings and chest camps. He will be responsible for coordinating with DTC and
DLS and will organize quarterly review meetings. Each DFS in the district will
be responsible for his or her geographical area and the GPs and private labs.
The DFS will develop monthly work plans and get them endorsed from the DTC.
Similarly, the DFS will submit monthly reports. S/he will make sure that
contacts of all bacteriologically positive TB cases should be screened. S/he
will maintain the record of supplies to the GPs and private laboratories at the
district level.
Driver
Three Positions are available for Islamabad
Qualifications & Experience:
At least middle (preferably metric) valid driving license, with 05 years
of driving experience, working with NGOs or offices is preferred, good routes
knowledge of Punjab districts in general & project districts in particular,
working technical knowledge of vehicles and basic maintenance and should be
able to rectify minor faults of the vehicle.
Responsibilities / Duties
The driver will provide safe transport services for program and support
staff. The driver will adhere to all traffic and organization's safety rules.
Follow the transport guidelines required by the Operations department. The
person will visit project field districts with official staff in the Punjab/
AJK. The person will be responsible to check the vehicle conditions
before/after each trip, work night shifts at office/field as assigned by
supervisor, maintain the vehicle logbook in accordance with policies/regulations
of the organization.
